Changes
Over the last few weeks many changes have taken place in my life. Some happy, some sad, and some very painful. Changes not just with me, but with family and friends and of course the world.
Some of the changes that took place, had me feeling some anxiety of what is coming next. But as I listened to God's words, I realized that there is no need to have anxiety over anything. Most of the time, we have no control over the changes that take place. God is in control of all things and he does not put more on us than we can be.
Losing a love one, a close friend, or even an acquaintance can put you in a mood you do not want to be in. Since September of last year, I have lost three people in my life, my father, my father-in-law, and a dear friend (very painful for me). But then on that same note, I have had the pleasure of having two nephews being born and a friend from long time ago come back into my life.
I say all of this to say, that through all the changes in our lives, ups and downs, deaths and births, happy and sad times, God is still in control. It is only because of Him that I am able to make it each day, through all the changes and seasons. My joy is in Him, no matter what is taking place we have to praise Him at all times, in the midst of the changes. The changes that we experience and go through should only make our spiritual walk with Jesus a better one, while building upon our relationship and becoming one with Him. Nothing in our lives just happens, it is all for a reason, and we can learn from the changes and seasons we go through.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
To everything there is a season, and
a time to every purpose under the heavens:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck
up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a
time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a
time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to
refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence,
and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate;
a time of war, and a time of peace.
